The RCNP International School on Physics of Hadrons and QCD will
be held on October 12-13, 1998 at the Research Center for Nuclear
Physics (RCNP), Osaka University, Suita Campus, Osaka, Japan.
The School is hosted by RCNP and is sponsored by the Asia Pacific
Center for Theoretical Physics (APCTP), Seoul, Korea, under its
program of External Activity.

The School will be followed by a workshop hosted by the Yukawa
Institute of Theoretical Physics (YITP), Kyoto University, Kyoto.

     The 1998 YITP Workshop on ``QCD and Hadron Physics''
		 YITP, Kyoto, Oct. 14-16, 1998


The School consists of three or four lectures, which are given by
world-class speakers invited from all over the world, and of several
short talks. The following two lecturers have already accepted our
invitation, and we will announce other lecturers and the final program
later.

  Mannque Rho (Saclay)  on ``Chiral symmetry in nuclear physics''

  Jac Verbaarschot (Stony Brook) on  ``Random Matrix Theory and
                 QCD at nonzero Temperature and Chemical Potential''

We expect 60 - 80 participants including graduate students, young

Every year, since 1993, Yukawa Institute has hosted a workshop on the
subjects of QCD and hadron physics.  This is the fifth of this series
of workshops.  This year, the workshop will be held following the RCNP
International School on Physics of Hadrons and QCD (October 12-13,
1998, Research Center for Nuclear Physics, Osaka University).



We invite contributions to the workshop in the following area of
theoretical physics:
