素粒子論グループの皆様

今年の１１月２４日-２６日に「高強度場の物理」に関する国 
際会議を
KEK(つくば市）で開催します。
この会議は、素粒子、原子核、レーザー物理、非線形光学、加速器物理、
天体物理など様々な分野にまたがって、「強い場」でおこる物理現象を
分野横断的に議論する会議です。
発展著しい高強度レーザーでアプローチできる物理の可能性を探ることを
一つの目的としていますが、今回は、より広い観点から「高強度場 
の物理」を取り上げます。

８月上旬をめどに、登録を開始する予定です。
世話人は、上記の広い分野から構成されていますが、特に

Recent developments of the high-intensity lasers are opening
a new window to fundamental physics as well as applied researches.
In particular, the ultra-high intensity realm of quantum
electrodynamics (QED) is within reach, and its non-perturbative
nature will be experimentally studied in near future.

Investigations using the high-intensity lasers are intimately
tied up with physics of strong-field dynamics in other areas,
such as the quark-gluon plasma of quantum chromodynamics (QCD)
which allows for strong non-Abelian gauge fields,
or astrophysical phenomena in magnetars having critically strong
magnetic fields. Thus, collaborations over a wide range of
physicists are extremely necessary for the global understanding of
strong-field dynamics.


The purpose of the conference is to gather experts on the strong-field
dynamics from various areas of physics and discuss the prospects of
fundamental physics using high-intensity lasers. Although the conference
will mainly focus on the aspect of fundamental physics, it is closely
related to wider subjects extending from laser accelerations to nuclear
and material sciences, and we welcome participations from wide areas of
related fields.


The topics will cover, but not exclusively;

1. Dynamics of strong fields and instability of vacua
       non-linear QED, quark-gluon plasma, magnetar, etc.
2. Unruh radiation and physics of horizons
3. Axion searches using ultra-high intensity lasers

(PIF2010)」の

一般講演では、QGPに関係したSchwinger機構、強いカ 
ラー電磁場中の
メソンの性質、ゲージ重力対応を使った非線形応答の振る舞いなど、
素粒子原子核物理に関係するものが幾つか申し込みされております。
直接関係ない話題でも、ポスターなどで申し込みをしていただける
とよいと思います。

高強度場の物理についてのチュートリアル講演
（理論 G. Dunne氏、実験 G.Mourou氏）がありますの 
で、これを機に
新しい物理に興味のある方は是非とも参加して下さい。多くの方々の
参加をお待ちしています。
