We are going to hold a YITP workshop entitled "Dense strange nuclei
and compressed baryonic matter" (Dense11), April 18-May 18, 2011,
Kyoto, Japan. This is one of the series of the "molecule"-type
workshops in the Yukawa International Program for Quark-hadron
Sciences (YIPQS), and also held as a joint workshop of YIPQS and the
World Class University (WCU) program on "Hadronic Matter under Extreme
Conditions" at Hanyang University, Korea. In the workshop, we will
investigate the properties of dense strange nuclei and strange
baryonic matter, focusing on the nuclear symmetry energy as well as
the bound kaon nuclear states relevant to compact-star matter. Among
the approaches explored will be the chiral effctive models,
strong-coupling lattice QCD and the holographic QCD for the meson
properties associated with the chiral symmetry restoration under
extreme conditions.

Schedule:
In the first week, we have a student session and a mini-symposium, in
addition to seminars.
