Dear Colleagues,

The 1st Tsung-Dao Lee summer school in particle physics will be held in Minhang campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University on July 6-11, 2020
by combining online and offline methods. This summer school will introduce the current situation and the frontier of particle physics research to
senior undergraduate and junior graduate students, it will also look forward to the future of particle physics.

The summer school aims to provide a pedagogical introduction and overview of our profound understanding of the microscropic world and its connection to the entire Universe. In spite of unprecedented success, there are still many questions to be answered:

1) Is the Standard Model of particle physics really the end?
2) Why are there three generations of fermions?
3) How do particles obtain their totally different masses?
4) Is the Higgs boson a fundamental or composite particle?
5) What information can neutrinos tell us?
6) Why does matter dominate over anti-matter in our Universe?
7) What is dark matter & dark energy?
8) How did the Universe start? The roles of particle and nuclei.
9) What can astrophysical objects tell about fundamental laws?
10) Can the fundamental forces be ultimately unified?
