来年2月27日から3月4日までの6日間、岩手の安比高原で、主に大学院生をはじめとする若手研究者を対象にした国際スクール Iwate Collider School 2023 を開催します。今年3月に開催したICS2022に引き続き第2回目の開催となります。
現時点ではアジアを中心とする海外からの学生も受け入れ、現地開催をベースとした対面・オンラインのハイブリッド形式でやる予定にしています。
LHCやILCのためのコライダー物理をテーマとし、午前中は講義、スキーやディスカッションのための長めのランチ休憩を挟んで、午後からは各自パソコンを用いたイベントシミュレーションのチュートリアルを行います。詳細はICS2022のWebpageを参考にしてください。

11月初旬に参加応募のための案内を改めて送りますが、周辺の興味のありそうな学生に声をかけていただき、あらかじめ日程をおさえていただけたらと思います。KEK-IINASNX、岩手大学、科研費、岩手県国際リニアコライダー推進協議会等の支援を受け、宿泊費を含めて参加費は無料です。理論、実験問わず、素粒子物理学の将来を担う若手研究者の参加を歓迎いたします。

Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the international Iwate Collider School (ICS2023) to be held at Appi highland in Iwate, Japan from February 27 to March 4, 2023. This is the second edition followed by ICS2022. The school will be held in a hybrid form.
During the school, students will learn a variety of topics in collider physics via lectures in the morning and tutorials for event simulation in the afternoon. Long lunch break for skiing and discussions are planned. See more details on the ICS2022 webpage:

We are preparing for the webpage etc, and will send the 2nd announcement in early November inviting applications. Thanks to the support by KEK-IINASNX, Iwate U., JSPS grant, Iwate ILC promotion council, etc., there will be no registration fee, and local expenses can be supported.
We look forward to hosting the new generation of young researches who will play a central role in particle physics in the coming future.

来年2月27日午後から5泊6日で行う Iwate Collider School (ICS2023) ＠安比高原
の参加登録を開始いたしました。現地参加者の募集期間が1ヶ月と短いのでご注意ください。

コロナウイルス感染症対策により最大25名までの現地参加者を受け入れます。
応募者多数の場合は選抜させていただきます。
現時点で海外 (ヨーロッパ) からの講師は来日を予定しています。アジアを中心
とする海外からの学生も受け入れることにしています。
講義はハイブリッド形式でオンライン配信も行いますが、各自のパソコンを用いた
イベントシミュレーションのチュートリアルは現地参加者を対象に対面で行います。
対象は主に大学院生、ポスドクです。理論・実験は問いません。今後のLHC、
ILC等のコライダー物理において中心となる意欲のある方々の参加を期待します。

ICS2023 will be held at Appi highland in Iwate, Japan, from February 27 (afternoon) to March 4 (morning),

-- The deadline for application submission for on-site participants : December 18th, 2022.
-- The deadline for application submission for online participants : February 17th, 2023.
-- Mainly for graduate students and postdoc's. Full-day participation is expected.
-- There will be no registration fee, and local expenses can be supported.
-- The maximum number of on-site participants is 25. In case of more than 25 applications, selection will be made.

[sg-l:7122] でもお知らせしましたが、2月27日から3月4日まで、
岩手県安比高原で第2回コライダー物理国際スクール (ICS2023) を
開催します。
現地参加登録は締め切りましたが、チュートリアルを除く講義の
オンライン参加登録は2月17日(金)まで受け付けます。

初日（2月27日）のFabio Maltoni氏の講義のみ夕方に行われ、
残りの講義は全て午前中8:30から11:30に行われます。
アジア各地の修士レベルの現地参加学生が多数いるため、コライダー

機会にコライダー物理を学びたい方の参加をお待ちしています。

Dear colleagues,
We are organizing the second Iwate Collider School (ICS2023)
https://ics.sgk.iwate-u.ac.jp
at APPI ski resort in Feb/27 - Mar/4, 2023. Registration to online
participation is open until Feb/17(Fri).
Although hand-on tutorials are only for onsite participants,
all the lectures will be broadcasted online. We welcome everybody
who wishes to study collider physics and its simulation tools
(mainly MadGraph).
The programs are available from the above website.
Except the opening lecture by Fabio Maltoni at around 18:00 JST
(Japan Standard Time) on Feb/27(Mon), all the lectures are
scheduled in the morning, between 8:30 and 11:30 JST.
The lecturers are Kaoru Hagiwara, Olivier Mattelaer, Rikkert Frederix,
Benjamin Fuks, Davide Pagani, and Daniel Jeans.
We look forward to meeting you online at ICS2023.
