新潟大学・理研数理創造プログラム(iTHEMS)の本郷です．
以下の案内にあるように，2024年3月11日~3月22日に京都大学 基礎物理学研究所において，
"Condensed matter physics of QCD 2024", https://www2.yukawa.kyoto-u.ac.jp/~cond-mat-qcd-2024/home.html
というYITP-RIKEN iTHEMS International Molecule-type Workshopを開催します．
有限温度・有限密度QCDに焦点をあてた研究会で，招待講演者のレクチャー・講演と多くの議論時間を持つ予定です．
研究会の詳細や講演者についてはホームページや以下の英文案内をご覧ください．
研究会は現地参加に加え，レクチャー・トークのオンライン配信を行うハイブリッド形式で行われます．
現地参加については，部屋のキャパシティや密接な議論を重視することなどから人数制限を行います．
参加希望者多数の場合は，参加登録情報をもとに20名程度(招待講演者を除く)を世話人で選定させていただきますが，
レクチャー・講演へのオンライン参加はそのような制限なく受け付けます．
現地参加者の選定においては，1週間以上の現地参加ができる方を優先しますので，ご了承ください
本研究会は議論を重視するため，通常の講演は受け付けません．
ただし，現地参加者には議論を促進するための話題提供（30分程度の講演）をお願いすることがあります．
話題提供者の選定には，参加登録情報を参考にさせて頂きます．

Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to inform you about the upcoming YITP-RIKEN iTHEMS International Molecule-type Workshop, "Condensed Matter Physics of QCD 2024," which will be held at Kyoto University Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics (YITP) from March 11th to March 22nd, 2024, in a hybrid style.
The purpose of this workshop is to bring together theorists working on QCD at finite temperature and density, with a particular focus on dense quark-nuclear matter relevant to neutron star physics.
The workshop consists of a series of lectures, topic contributions, and a lot of free discussion time to develop possible future collaborations.
The invited lecturers are
- Mark G. Alford (Washington University in St. Louis)
- Gordon Baym (University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign/RIKEN iTHEMS)
- Muneto Nitta (Keio University)
- Sanjay Reddy (University of Washington)
- Dam Thanh Son (The University of Chicago)
- Mikhail Stephanov (University of Illinois Chicago)

Due to room capacity constraints and the emphasis on having dense discussions, we will be limiting the number of onsite participants.
The organizers will select onsite participants (approximately 20 individuals) based on the registration information provided.
However, there are no restrictions for online participation, and we welcome everyone interested in joining lectures and talks remotely.
In the selection of onsite participants, priority will be given to those who can participate for more than one week.
We will not accept contributed talks since the main focus of the workshop is to have intense discussions.
To promote discussion, onsite participants may be asked to present topics of interest (~ 30 minutes) based on the registration information.

- Online Registration Deadline: Until March 6th (Wed.)
