The purpose of this interdisciplinary workshop is to identify problems in astrophysics and related fields including, but not limited to, stellar structure and evolution, black holes and high-energy physics which can be solved using existing asymptotics and perturbation theory methods in theoretical physics problems (e.g. quantum field theory, gravity), and vice versa. Please consider joining us in Kobe and participating. For more information, see below: https://indico2.riken.jp/event/5066/overview Daily themes with invited speakers Theoretical physics Christy Kelly (RIKEN iTHEMS) Masazumi Honda (RIKEN iTHEMS) Black hole quasinormal modes Naritaka Oshita (Kyoto University) Che-Yu Chen (RIKEN iTHEMS) Ryo Namba (RIKEN iTHEMS) Asteroseismology and stellar oscillations Masao Takata (University of Tokyo) Ryota Shimada (Kyoto University) Stellar hydrodynamics Lucy McNeill (Kyoto University) Marcus DuPont (Princeton University) In addition to overview talks and poster presentations, there will also be computer aided tutorial sessions each day related to the daily theme. While it’s not essential, participants are recommended to bring their own laptop, and have python or mathematica installed in advance. Please apply to participate by ★★ Sunday February 2nd 2025 ★★ https://indico2.riken.jp/event/5066/registrations/424/ Registrants can apply for a poster presentation or attendance only. ※ Please note that participation is limited to 30 people. But if the indico registration page is still open, it means that there are still spaces. We look forward to your registration.
