京都大学基礎物理学研究所の山津直樹です。
学術変革領域研究(A)「極限宇宙」では、2024年9月12-15日に第三回極限宇宙
若手研究会、及び、第六回極限宇宙スクールを北海道グランドパーク小樽にて
行います。（物理学会の直前です。）

この度は、主催側から提供できる旅費は非常に限られています。ですが、会場
には余裕がありますので、外部の経費で参加される方は多く受け入れることが
可能です。物理学会前に行いますので、興味のある方は物理学会のついでに是
非ご参加ください。

Dear colleagues,
 
We are pleased to announce that “The 3rd young researchers' workshop
of the Extreme Universe Collaboration & The 6th "Extreme Universe"
School” will be held at Grand Park Otaru in Hokkaido on Sep. 12-15,
2024. (Just before the Physical Society of Japan Annual Meeting in
Sapporo.) Sessions on the first day (Sep.12) will begin around 16:00.

The workshop is aimed at encouraging interactions and collaborations
among young researchers, including but not limited to those in the
extreme-universe collaboration, and providing an opportunity to make
friends for interdisciplinary discussions. The school is also held
concurrently, with several lectures given by Ryui Kaneko (Sophia
University) [Condensed matter], Yoshifumi Nakata (YITP, Kyoto
University) [Quantum information], Ryo Namba (RIKEN) [Cosmology], and
Toshifumi Noumi (University of Tokyo) [Particle physics].

Participants are supposed to attend in person and can give a poster
presentation. (We may ask some of the participants to give oral
presentations, but the number is quite limited because of the tight
schedule.)

　The deadline for the registration is May. 24th (Fri), 2024.
 
Please also provide the information of the presentation (title and
abstract) upon the registration.
 
The travel support we will be able to offer is highly limited due to
our tight budget. However, since the venue can accommodate a
relatively large number of participants, we very much appreciate those
who will join in this event using participants' own grant. This event
will be held just before the Physical Society of Japan Annual Meeting
in Sapporo, so if you are interested, please join us.
