本スクールでは, 初めにEICサイエンスディレクターであるAbhay Deshpande氏によりEIC実験についての概要説明が行われます.
その後, EICや関連する実験を中心に展開される高エネルギーQCDやハドロン・原子核物理に関する理論を6つのテーマに分けて,
各分野で活躍されている研究者により全24コマ (各トピック4講義・各90分) の講義が黒板を使用したチョークトーク形式を
取り入れながら行われます. 各週には, シンポジウム形式で講師による研究最前線の紹介と参加者との議論の時間を設け,
若手研究者が高エネルギー物理に関する理論的知識を深めるとともに, 国際的な研究交流を行う場となることを目指します.
本スクールは国内外からの参加者を広く歓迎し, 招待講演や学生の研究発表のセッションも予定しております.
本スクールが若い世代の研究者が国際的な研究ネットワークを築くきっかけとなることを我々は期待しています.

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the first circular on “YITP International School on EIC Physics”, which will be held from March 2 to March 13, 2026, at the Yukawa Institute, Kyoto University in Japan. This international school aims to provide a fundamental introduction to high-energy QCD and the physics of the future Electron-Ion Collider (EIC), especially for graduate students and early-career researchers.

Dates: March 2 (Mon) – March 13 (Fri), 2026
Venue: Panasonic Hall, Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics (YITP), Kyoto University

The school will begin with an overview of the EIC experiment presented by Dr. Abhay Deshpande, the Director of Science for the EIC. Following this, theoretical lectures covering six major topics in high-energy QCD and hadron/nuclear physics—centered around the EIC and related high energy experiments—will be delivered by leading researchers in each field. A total of 24 lectures (four 90-minute lectures per topic) will be given employing a chalk-talk format with blackboards. Each week will also feature a symposium session, during which lecturers will introduce the frontiers of their research and engage in discussions with participants. These sessions can deepen early-career researchers' theoretical understanding of high-energy physics and foster international academic exchange. We envision this school as a unique opportunity for participants to engage with researchers from Japan and around the world. In particular, we aim to support early-career researchers in building international networks through close interaction with invited lecturers. We hope this school will help cultivate the next generation of researchers contributing to EIC physics.

本スクールでは, 初めにEICサイエンスディレクターであるAbhay Deshpande氏によりEIC実験についての概要説明が行われます.
その後, EICや関連する実験を中心に展開される高エネルギーQCDやハドロン・原子核物理に関する理論をいくつかのテーマに分けて,
各分野で活躍されている研究者により黒板を使用したチョークトーク形式を取り入れながら行われます. 各週には, シンポジウム形式で
講師による研究最前線の紹介と参加者との議論の時間を設け, 若手研究者が高エネルギー物理に関する理論的知識を深めるとともに,
国際的な研究交流を行う場となることを目指します. 本スクールは国内外からの参加者を広く歓迎し, 招待講演や学生の研究発表の
セッションも予定しております. 本スクールが若い世代の研究者が国際的な研究ネットワークを築くきっかけとなることを我々は期待しています.

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the second circular on “YITP International School on EIC Physics”, which will be held from March 2 to March 13, 2026, at the Yukawa Institute, Kyoto University in Japan. This international school aims to provide a fundamental introduction to high-energy QCD and the physics of the future Electron-Ion Collider (EIC), especially for graduate students and early-career researchers. Please note that the registration deadline for applicants seeking travel subsidies is November 30. Additionally, changes to the invited speakers are planned. Details will be announced on the webpage/Indico as soon as they are finalized.

The school will begin with an overview of the EIC experiment presented by Dr. Abhay Deshpande, the Director of Science for the EIC. Following this, theoretical lectures covering several major topics in high-energy QCD and hadron/nuclear physics—centered around the EIC and related high energy experiments—will be delivered by leading researchers in each field. Four 90-minute lectures per topic will be given employing a chalk-talk format with blackboards. Each week will also feature a symposium session, during which lecturers will introduce the frontiers of their research and engage in discussions with participants. These sessions can deepen early-career researchers' theoretical understanding of high-energy physics and foster international academic exchange. We envision this school as a unique opportunity for participants to engage with researchers from Japan and around the world. In particular, we aim to support early-career researchers in building international networks through close interaction with invited lecturers. We hope this school will help cultivate the next generation of researchers contributing to EIC physics.
