Since 2023, we have held a series of international workshops on 
hadron and nuclear physics focusing on topics investigated at J-PARC. 
The third workshop in this series will be held under the name 
"Femtoscopy physics and J-PARC hadron-hall experiment". 
Hadron-hadron interactions constitute a fundamental and inevitable 
aspect of hadron physics. Scattering experiments serve as the standard 
approach to investigate these interactions in detail. However, they 
are not always applicable to all hadron pairs, and in many cases, such 
experiments are challenging or even impractical to carry out. 

Recently, a breakthrough has emerged through the technique known as 
"Femtoscopy": by analyzing momentum correlations between hadron pairs 
emitted from pp/AA collisions at high energy, information on hadron-hadron 
interactions can be extracted. Such experiments have been conducted 
actively by the ALICE and STAR collaborations at the LHC, and interesting 
results on various hadron pairs, particularly those involving multiple 
strange or charm quarks, are being reported. 

On the other hand, hyperon-nucleon scattering experiments, which had been 
difficult to conduct, were successfully carried out by the J-PARC E40 
group. Additionally, in the J-PARC hadron hall, many experiments on 
hadronic many-body systems such as hypernuclei have been/will be performed 
to investigate two- and three-body interactions, and properties of in-medium 
hadrons. 

Thanks to these experiments, the study of hadron-hadron interactions is 
currently in an exciting phase. Femtoscopy and J-PARC hadron-hall experiments 
can be complementary to each other in terms of their experimental approaches 
and accessible interactions. In addition, the theoretical development on 
hadron-hadron interactions and hadronic many-body systems is currently 
remarkable. In this workshop, we will discuss hadron-hadron interactions and 
related issues from the viewpoints of Femtoscopy and J-PARC hadron hall 
experiments, in collaboration with theorists. Through this discussion, 
we aim to summarize the current state of this field, deepen our insights, 
and develop new ideas. 

One of important purposes of this workshop is to offer chances to build 
new collaborations and to strengthen the existing network. While we plan 
to reserve time for discussions, every participant is strongly encouraged 
to give at least short presentations; after listening to the advertisement 
one can directly go to the presenters for specialized discussions. Though 
the workshop is held in a hybrid style (Onsite + Online), we warmly invite 
you to join us in Osaka.

This workshop is hosted by the High Energy Accelerator Research Organization 
(KEK) / the Institute for Particle and Nuclear Study (IPNS), and supported 
by the J-PARC Hadron Hall User Association (HUA), the Research Center for 
Nuclear Physics, Osaka univ. (RCNP), the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) 
and the J-PARC Center.

***** Oral presentations ***** 
The workshop consists of invited talks for the overview of each topic and 
contributed talks for more specialized discussions. We strongly encourage 
young generations, including students and postdocs, to present their works 
through oral, poster or flash talk. If you need to give an oral presentation 
for the travel approval, we arrange your talk for an oral or flash talk at 
least. Details will be announced after the number of applications is fixed. 
We plan to organize Young Scientist Awards for short presentations; we hope 
that this activity accelerates communications between young and senior 
scientists. 

Please submit your abstract via the workshop website (to appear in

We wish as many young people as possible to attend this workshop.

There is no registration fee, but we charge 500 yen for soft drinks and 
snacks. We plan to have a banquet on December 8th (the 1st day of the 
workshop); the banquet fee is about 4,000 yen.

There are many reasonable hotels around 10,000 JPY/night or even 
cheaper ones in downtown of Osaka city, around Itami (Osaka) airport, 
or Shin-Osaka station. Earlier reservation is recommended. 
We have an accommodation facility (RCNP dormitory) in Osaka University. 
However, it will be used for participants supported financially by us.

*** Financial support 
You may request financial support from us. As our budget is very limited, 
the support is mainly intended for young scientists who do not have their 
own financial resources. We are sorry that for foreign participants we can 
only support local expenses, which are calculated according to the KEK rules. 
It is remarked that people who are financially supported by us are supposed 
to stay at the RCNP dormitory.

*** Strangeness Nuclear Physics school (SNP School 2005)
It is noted that SNP School 20025 will be held in the same campus of 
Osaka university during December 1-5, 2025, which is just before our 
workshop. Since the contents of the lectures in the school are closely

“J-PARC Hadron Physics Workshop 2025 (J-PARC Hadron 2025)”

will be held at Osaka University RCNP from December 8 to 10, 2025 
in a hybrid format (onsite + online).

This year, the workshop will focus on “Femtoscopy Physics and 
J-PARC Hadron Hall Experiments”, covering the following main topics:
Femtoscopy and J-PARC experiments on hadron interactions
Lattice QCD and effective field theory for hadron interactions
Hadronic many-body systems including hypernuclei and exotic hadrons
Emerging topics in hadron physics

The workshop will consist of invited talks and contributed talks, 
and we especially welcome participation by young researchers.

研究会の前の週に開催されたSNPschool2025との兼ね合いもあり、
今回初めて大阪大学にて開催しました。

両研究会で活発な議論がなされ、盛況な研究会となりました。
