素粒子論グループのみなさま、

理化学研究所 計算科学研究センターでは 2030年度稼働を目指してスーパーコンピュータ「富岳」の後継機となる「富岳NEXT」(仮称)の開発を開始しました。
2025年度は基本設計フェイズとして、アプリケーションコミュニティ、ベンダなどとの協調体制を築きつつ、システムの多くの仕様を決めていく期間となります。
今回構築される次世代スパコンは演算加速器を導入、その能力を最大限に利用しつつ、「富岳」のレガシーも可能な限り継承し革新的なHPC/AIスーパーコンピュータとして稼働させることを目指しています。

この開発に広く、多くの研究開発者に参加していただくための仕組みを準備しており、その一環として、定期的にオンラインセミナーを行って参ります。
以下、フル公開版の初回となる、第2回「富岳NEXT」アプリケーションセミナー開催のご案内になります。(HPCIアカウントをお持ちの方へはRISTを通じて既配信の情報です)。

今回のテーマは、アプリケーションの性能を軸に、アプリケーションの開発と計算機の開発を同時進行で進めていくために必要な考え方と、それを支える枠組みについてのお話を中村宜文さんが担当します。

"FugakuNEXT," currently under development as the successor to the
Supercomputer Fugaku, is expected to serve as Japan’s next-generation
computing infrastructure, supporting our nation's scientific and
technological advancement as well as industrial competitiveness. To
realize this vision, it is essential to further advance HPC application
development and foster the human resources needed to sustain
it. Against this backdrop, the Next-Generation HPC Application Development
Unit is organizing a seminar series to broadly share the latest trends and
practical insights—including the use of AI—related to HPC application
development for the "FugakuNEXT" era. This seminar represents an excellent
opportunity to accelerate the development of applications compatible
with "FugakuNEXT." We sincerely encourage your participation.
