KMI 2026+ DarMa Kick-off Organizing Committee ================================================================================= The 7th KMI International Symposium on “Quest for the Origin of Particles and the Universe” (KMI2026) and Kick-off Meeting for the Dark Matter International Research Center (DarMa) The Kobayashi-Maskawa Institute for the Origin of Particles and the Universe (KMI) at Nagoya University will host the 7th KMI International Symposium, “Quest for the Origin of Particles and the Universe” (KMI2026), from November 9 to 11, 2026. The symposium aims to review the current status and future prospects of cutting-edge research in particle physics, astrophysics, cosmology, and related fields, and to promote interdisciplinary collaboration across these areas. The symposium will also serve as the kick-off meeting for the Dark Matter International Research Center (DarMa), established within KMI. DarMa brings together researchers in particle physics, astrophysics, and cosmology to advance interdisciplinary approaches to the dark matter problem. 1. Date November 9 (Monday)–11 (Wednesday), 2026 2. Conference Venue The conference will be held at ES Hall on the ground floor of the Engineering and Science (ES) Building, Higashiyama Campus, Nagoya University. 3. Scientific Program The scientific program will consist of invited talks on recent theoretical and experimental achievements and future prospects in the following areas: – Particle physics at the energy and intensity frontiers (LHC, SuperKEKB, J-PARC) – Fundamental physics with neutrinos, neutrons, and muons – High-energy hadron physics in the very forward region – Astrophysics with gamma rays, X-rays, radio waves, and gravitational waves – Dark matter physics – Cosmology, dark energy, gravity, and string theory – Applications of machine learning Sessions dedicated to the DarMa kick-off meeting will also be organized. The detailed program will be available on the conference website. 4. Registration Registration is available through the conference website: https://indico.kmi.nagoya-u.ac.jp/event/20/ Please check the website for the latest information on registration and the scientific program.
