来年2月23日から27日までの5日間、岩手の安比高原で、主に大学院生をはじめとする若手研究者を対象にした 6th Iwate Collider School (ICS2027) を開催します。2022年に始まり第6回目の開催となります。アジアを中心とする海外からの学生も受け入れる国際スクールです。

コライダー物理をテーマとし、午前中は講義、スキーや議論のための長めのランチ休憩を挟んで、午後からは各自パソコンを用いたイベント生成シミュレーションのチュートリアルを行います。詳細は過去のスクールのWebpageを参考にしてください。

らを予定しており、理論、実験、そしてそれを繋ぐシミュレーションの専門家から直接学べる貴重な機会となります。
特に今回は、HL-LHCを見据えてこの冬にリリース予定の MadGraph7 のチュートリアルを世界に先駆けて行う予定にしています。

11月初めに参加応募のための案内を改めて送りますが、周辺の興味のありそうな方に声をかけていただき、あらかじめ日程をおさえていただけたらと思います。岩手大学、岩手県立大学、岩手県ILC推進協議会、東北ILC事業推進センター等の支援を受け、宿泊費を含めて参加費は無料です。理論、実験問わず、素粒子物理学の将来を担う若手研究者の参加を歓迎いたします。

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the 6th International Iwate Collider School (ICS2027), which will take place at Appi Kogen in Iwate, Japan, from February 23 to 27, 2027.

During the school, students will explore a range of topics in collider physics through morning lectures and afternoon tutorials on event simulation. There will also be a long lunch break for skiing and discussion. For more information, please visit the website of previous editions:

We have invited experts in particle physics from around the world to serve as lecturers, including

This edition will feature a tutorial on MadGraph7, which is scheduled for release this winter. This will be its first tutorial worldwide.

We are preparing the website and other materials, and will send a second announcement in early November with an invitation to apply.
Thanks to the support of Iwate University, Iwate Prefectural University, the Iwate ILC Promotion Council, the Tohoku ILC Project Development Center, and others, there will be no registration fee, and local expenses can be supported.

We look forward to welcoming the next generation of young researchers who will play a central role in the future of particle physics!
